Hydoftal 1,5%-Augensalbe enthält das Glukokortikoid Hydrocortison sowie sein Salz. Dies ist ein Kortison mit entzündungshemmender und schmerzlindernder Wirkung. Weiters hemmt es Wucherungen des Bindehautgewebes und verhindert eine Gefäßeinsprossung (Vaskularisation) der Hornhaut. Neomycin ist ein Antibiotikum.

Anwendungsgebiete:

• ​Entzündungen des vorderen Augenabschnittes, die der Behandlung mit einem Kortikoid bedürfen und bei denen gleichzeitig eine durch Neomycin-empfindliche Erreger verursachte Infektion des äußeren Auges vorliegt, oder die Gefahr einer bakteriellen Infektion besteht
• postoperative, nicht-infektiöse Reizzustände
• Postoperativ: kurzfristige Anwendung, um Trübungen der Kornea infolge Narbenbildung zu beseitigen oder zu verhindern

Hydoftal 1,5% eye ointment contains glucocorticoid hydrocortisone as well as its salt. This cortisone has an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect. Additionally, it inhibits the proliferation of the conjunctiva tissue and prevents a vascularisation of the cornea. Neomycine is an antibiotic. 

Treatment Areas:

• ​Infections of the frontal part of the eye, that require a corticosteroid treatment, which at the same time present an infection, caused by neomycine-sensitive pathogens, or if there is a risk of a bacterial infection.
• Postoperative use for non-infectious irritations
• Postoperative short-term use, to prevent corneal opacities and to treat and prevent scarring
